Cottonwood

Cottonwood is located at the ideal altitude, where it’s not too hot or cold!  Plus, it’s surrounded by the gorgeous Sedona red rocks and the Mingus Mountains.   In the heart of Cottonwood is Old Town.  The perfect place for dining, gazing at galleries, wine tasting, and a wide variety of shopping.  It’s also the place to take in special events, from classic cars to food, wine, parades, chocolate, and more!   

 

Sedona

Besides being a breathtaking desert town, Sedona is also home to multiple heritage sites and museums.  Located near Flagstaff, enjoy the mild climate as you take in the pine forests, red-rock buttes, and steep canyon walls.  It’s noted for its mild climate and vibrant arts community.  Further into town, visitors will note the vibrant arts community,  New Age shops, art galleries, and spas.  Further out are many hiking trails which are perfect for nature observing, bird-watching, and picnicking.  And let’s not forget the Heritage Sites:  V Bar V, Honanki, and Palatki are lovely additions to your agenda.  There’s also Montezuma Castle National Monument and Well and the Sedona Heritage Museum to add to your list of places to see!

 

Flagstaff

Take in Flagstaff’s four seasons when you visit this town in the high country mountains of northern Arizona.  You’ll enjoy moderate summer temperatures with crystal skies and clean mountain air, let your senses delight with the changing of the leaves in the fall, walk and ski in a winter wonderland with abundant snowfalls, and delight in the delicate blooming foliage in the spring.   Flagstaff is the gateway to the tallest mountain in Arizona, the home to Wupatki National Monument and Walnut Canyon National Monument. 

 

Prescott

Located in central Arizona, Prescott is home to historic Whiskey Row.  An area famous for live music and nightlife.  For history lovers, a visit to the Sharlot Hall Museum and Smoki Museum is a perfect way to learn more about the pioneers and indigenous peoples of the area.  For the nature lover,  Watson Lake is the place to go for hiking and bird watching.  You’ll also find fine dining as well as shopping and antiquing.

 

Grand Canyon

Grand Canyon National Park, located in northern Arizona, is the place to see spectacular views of layered rocks and observe millions of years of geologic history.  Lookouts for incredible sights include Yavapai Observation Station, Lipan Point, and Mather Point.  Trips to the South or North Rim any time of the day are well worth the travel!
